Reading Railroad Express is an incentive program for Accelerated Reader.
Students in grades 1-5 will participate. The student reads a
book from the Accelerated Reader book list and then takes a
computerized test on the book, answering simple multiple-choice
questions that check recall of basic facts and events. The AR
software automatically awards points to the student based on the
difficulty level of the book and the number of correctly answered
questions. The computer keeps a running record of these points
. Accumulated points will be used towards certificates, prizes and
