C.L.A.S.S.: Course Description

C.L.A.S.S. stands for Cultural Literacy through Art and Social Studies.  It is team taught by Adam Huckle and Sue Burwell and was designed by Sandy Hildreth and Sue Burwell. The main focus for C.L.A.S.S. is to touch on significant time periods that represent major cultural growth in our world. We cover the social and artistic aspects of each time period.

Currently, C.L.A.S.S. is divided into two half year classes, C.L.A.S.S. A and C.L.A.S.S. B.

C.L.A.S.S. A covers Art and Social Studies from the Stone-Age through the Age of Exploration.

C.L.A.S.S. B covers Art and Social Studies from the Age of Exploration through modern times, with a strong focus on History and Art in America.

C.L.A.S.S. A & B can each be used as a half credit of either Art or Social studies in order to meet graduation requirements.
