Studio Art is a preliminary art course for students beginning a 5 unit sequence in art or to get their mandatory art/music credit for graduation. Studio Art is divided into two parts: Studio Art 1 in the Fall, and Studio Art 2 in the Spring. Students work on a variety of design problems as well as basics in drawing, painting, figure drawing and art history.  Students are also required to complete a weekly sketchbook assignment that counts for 30 percent of their 6 week grade.

Studio Art Grading Policy.

 

Studio Art Weekly Sketchbook Assignment:

"Metamorphosis"- Show one object changing into another object.

Must:

Be an original drawing

Be Full-page

Have a Full, Detailed, Background

Include lots of Detail

Include lots of Shading
