GRADING POLICY and MAKE UP POLICY
For all Spanish Classes the Grading Criteria is as follows:
Class work/Homework 10%
Participation* 20%
Projects 20%
Quizzes 20%
Tests 30%
*Participation is determined as follows:
If you know how to say it in Spanish don't say it in English.
You will never be able to speak another language if you do not practice speaking the language.
Helpful hints for a successful year in Spanish class
Ask and answer questions in Spanish rather than English.
Speak Spanish as much as possible with Seņora Chichester and with your classmates.
On task, focused work in cooperative learning groups and on your own.
Make the most of available class time.

MAKE UP POLICY
Students are responsible for submitting all missed work due to a legal absence FIVE SCHOOL DAYS from the date of the return to class from the absence.
Students should speak with the teacher to get the assignments missed and make arrangements to make up the work.
All missed work must be turned in at the close of the 5th day deadline.
EXAMPLE: Student is out Thursday, returns to school Friday.
Work must be made up by following Thursday.
Work not turned in at the end of the five day deadline will not be given credit.
Work missed due to an illegal absence will be not be given credit.
Exceptions can be made in extenuating circumstances, for example, an extremely long illness.
