Front Pocket of Binder: School Papers
In the front pocket of the binder you will find important papers from the school . Papers will be sent home in this pocket. Please remove and read all of these papers promptly; they will keep you in touch with important news and events that are happening. |
Zipper Pocket: Money and Excuses |
This is where you should put all money to be brought to school (field trips, lunch, book orders) so it doesn't get "lost" in the bottom of the backpack. Please make sure your child does not bring any loose money to school. All money must be in an envelope or zip lock bag that is clearly labeled with the student's name and what the money is for. This is also a good place to put doctor's notes for excused absences. Students will take this money out once at school to turn in to the teacher. |
First Clear Sleeve: Daily Schedule |
In the first clear sleeve, you will find a copy of our daily classroom schedule. Please note the time of our lunch and plan to come eat with your child occasionally if possible! |
Second Clear Sleeve: Monthly Lunch Menu |
In the second clear sleeve you will find the monthly district lunch menu. Note that the menu may change without notice occasionally. |
Third Clear Sleeve: Class Roster |
In this sleeve, you will find a class roster. This can be used for sending out birthday invitations, Valentine's cards, etc. |
Red Pocket Folder: Daily Work Folder |
In the first pocket you will find class work that your child has completed. This pocket should be cleaned out each evening. After you have "oooed and aahhed" over your child's work, I'm sure you will want to hang it on the refrigerator! ENJOY! In the second pocket you will find homework papers. These papers need to be completed each night and returned to school in the same pocket the following day. Please review homework with your child for careless mistakes and initial the top of each page so that I know it was reviewed by you. Thank you! |
Blue/Yellow Pocket Folder: Progress Folder |
Your child's graded work will come home in this folder. This work should be taken out, reviewed with your child, and kept at home. (Note: Mrs. Burnett's students will use a yellow folder for graded work, Mrs. Manchester's and Mrs. Finnegan's graded work will be in a blue folder.) |
