What is a Living Wax Museum?  It is an interesting way for students to conduct a character study.  They pick their favorite literary character, conduct their study, write a monologue, design and create the scenery, design and create their costumes, and perform.  Each character held a pose until someone pressed their button to bring them to life.  Then the character would tell what happened to them in the story from their own point of view.
