Homework

Students will have homework in science.  It is expected that the student complete the assignment and turn it in when due.

Late Work Policies

An assignment will be accepted and given full credit until it is handed back to students.  After that students may hand missing work in but they will receive no credit or a grade of zero.

communication with parents:

The student’s agenda will be used as a communication tool between school and home.

Grading policy

Test = 40%

Quiz = 30%

Projects = 20%

Homework = 10%

Missed Work

Students who miss homework because of an absence will receive the opportunity to make up missed work.  Students are given one calendar day for each day absent plus one extra day to turn in their work.  It’s the students’ responsibility to get work missed due to illness or absence.

Extra Help

Extra help will be provided to the students during 10th period (2:08-2:50).  This will also be a quiet work time in which students can finish homework.  If a student chooses to stay for this period they will need to make arrangements to either get a ride or take the elementary bus home.
