I. Procedures to Determine AIS Instructional Needs.
A. Identification
| Classroom Average | Grade 1: Below S (2) on report card.
Grade 2-3: Below S (satisfactory) on overall performance. Grade 3-5: Below C or 75% on overall performance. |

| Teacher Recommendation | Comments from teachers are to be considered in overall evaluation. | |
| Test of New York State Standards (TONYSS) | Grade 3, 5, 6, and 7: Students who scored at levels 1 and 2 on the Math portion of this assessment. | |
| Students Attendance | High rate of absenteeism may be related to academic difficulty. | |
| New York State Mathematics Assessment in Grade 4 and 8 (NYSMA4, NYSMA8) | Students who scored at levels 1 and 2 on these assessments will be identified as needing AIS. | |
| Unit/End-of-Year Test | Students scoring below the designated performance levels as indicated on the Needs Assessment. |
