Assignments
To help fourth grade students keep track of daily assignments, they are given an assignment planner at the beginning of the year. Each day, students are responsible for writing the date, scheduled day, and homework in their planners. They are also expected to bring their planners home each night and back to school every day.
A "Take Home" folder will be used to transport notes, spelling lists, and homework to and from school. There is a "leave at home" side of this folder, and a "bring back" side. Please make sure that the "leave at home" side is emptied nightly to eliminate an overstuffed folder.
Parents, please check the assignment planner and folder so that your child becomes accustomed to bringing them home each night, and back to school each day. To further aid in your child's success, please check over the assigned work to ensure that it is complete, neat, and well done. If you would like to communicate with me, space is provided at the bottom of each page. Your child will need to show this to me so that a reply may be given as soon as possible.
When your child returns to school, he/she is responsible for submitting homework as part of the morning jobs. Each student has their own hanging folder in the back of the classroom where they are to turn in assignments before 9:00 am.
