Choose one site below to create a Digital Story

 

  1. Story Jumper -Excellent site for digital storytelling, with many educational resources for teachers.
     
  2. Kizoa - Great site for creating animated slide shows with lots of different content to choose from.
     
  3. Drag on Tape - Very user-friendly site that uses a drag-n-drop interface to edit and mix video.
     
  4. Shwup - Great site for making collaborative slide shows.
     
  5. PreZentit - Very similar to Shwup, a nice looking site for making collaborative slide shows.
     
  6. Jay Cut - Similar to iMovie that allows users to edit or create a video.
     
  7. Comic Master - Fun site for digital storytelling that has a drag-n-drop interface
     
  8. MeMoov - Very user-friendly site for digital storytelling that allows users to record their voice for narration.
     
  9. Wordia - Brings words to life through the use of video.
     
  10. Zooburst - Great site for for digital storytelling, where a user can make an online 3D pop-up book.

    Now Choose one site below to assist you in your Digital Story, using a site from 1-10 above
     

  11. Encyclomedia - Video encyclopedia where results can be embedded into a site.
     
  12. .Splashup - Looks like Photoshop and is a great way to edit photos and manipulate layers and effects.
     
  13. Knowcase - Create collaborative outlines with this easy-to-use site.
     
  14. Cloud Canvas - Great site for photo editing and drawing or painting, similar to Splashup.
     
  15. Magic Studio - Great multi-media site for uploading photos,documents or video and then editing them.
     
  16. Googlios - A way for students to create digital portfolios online using Google Tools.
     

Process

  •  Day 1 Research the 16 links (that's only about 2 minutes each!)

    • Start your storyboard/planning document in Word

    • List 2 sites from # 1-10, and 1 from 11-16 that you are interested in using

     

  • Day 2 Learn how your sites "work"

    • Narrow your selection from 1-10 down to one to use for this project

    • List the 2 web sites you are using on your planning document

    • Learn how to use your chosen web sites

     

  • Day 3 Planning

    • Create a story board on your Planning Document to explain the story you want to create

    • Start collecting information

    • Include all URL's for your Credits page!

     

  • Day 4 - 7 Start creating!!!

    • include on your Word document/story board how you are using the selected site from 11-16

     

  • Day 8 Present for Grade

  2. Sweet Search - Excellent search engine for students, as everything has been reviewed by educators.
  3. Cacoo -  Nice site for creating online charts and graphs with a built-in chat feature for collaboration.
     
  4. 21 Classes -  Get students blogging in a safe and secure environment.
  5. Middlespot -  Innovative website for social bookmarking that allows users to collect sites in a visual way.
     
  6. Education Eye - Fun site for brainstorming with this visual search engine.
  7. Quintura for Kids - A search engine for kids that acts a bit like a tag cloud where results can be embedded into a site.
