How Do I Post Video's from the Web?

Save the Video First

Locate the video you want

bullet

Check for copywrite issues

bullet

Right click on the hyperlink to the video

bullet

Choose the save target as command

bullet

Save the file containing the video to your file server account
bullet

It is strongly suggested that you make a folder in your account called video

bullet

Remember, only use lower case letters and do not have any spaces in any folder or file names!  This may require you to rename the video.

Move the Video File to Your FrontPage Account

View your web page using Internet Explorer

Find the word File in the upper left of your screen.

Click on File and then select Edit with Microsoft FrontPage

Enter your password

bullet

Resize the FrontPage window by clicking on the middle sizing button in the top right hand corner of your screen

Open My Computer

bullet

Get into your file server account and find the movie file

bullet

make sure that you can see both the movie file and the Frontpage folders where you want to drag and drop the movie file

you may have to resize your windows again to see both

Drag and drop the movie file to where you want to relocate it within Frontpage

Create the Hyperlink

Type the name of the video, or insert a picture, on your web page as your hperlink

Highlight the word(s) or picture to be hyperlinked to the video

Right click

bullet

Choose Hyperlink

bullet

Locate the video within your FrontPage files and double click (click-click fast) on it.

Go to Preview mode and try it out!

bullet

Return FrontPage to the edit tab and keep working

This is the same way you can add files such as PowerPoint or Word documents to your website
