Dedication

Sandra Ruddy's artistic brilliance has become an expected part of any Madrid-Waddington production. No one works more fervently to keep our stage area buzzing with activity and to insure everything is performance ready by opening night. Perhaps even more important though, is Sandra's attention to tradition.

Success for a program of this size and caliber is completely dependent on the interest and ambition of our ever-changing student body. For years Sandra has maintained the heart and soul of this opportunity to become involved. Year after year, dozens of fresh young faces magically appear out of nowhere thanks to Sandra Ruddy. Undoubtedly, the majority of this year's graduating class would recall their first time involvement in any show being at the request of Mrs. Ruddy.

Reminiscent of the Sorting Hat from Harry Potter, Sandra gently pushes them in the right direction. "Hmmmmm.....a budding carpenter? Perhaps a stage hand....ahhh this one is definitely an artist." In an instant a new generation is introduced to Madrid-Waddington's tradition of musical theatre. Of course, what introduction would be recount past performances and performers. Throughout our backstage area you will find the signatures of past participants dating back more than 30 years. The stories behind these names are kept alive as Sandra joyfully shares them with the next generation.

Sandra, you have been an irreplaceable component in these productions and for all your effort I am forever indebted. Please accept this year's performance as a token of gratitude from everyone, past and present, whom have benefited from your selfless dedication.
