COVID-19 Update

As a nation, we continue to band together to take all necessary precautions to prevent and contain the spread of COVID-19.  As a Madrid-Waddington community, we understand the importance of limiting our workforce while still maintaining essential services for our students and families.

Tomorrow, Monday, we will be having a curbside pickup from 9:00 - 5:00 for students to collect any academic work their teachers may have assigned and to pick up a Chromebook if there is a need and you have not already received one.

This curbside pickup only applies to a limited number of students as most have already picked up any necessary packets/Chromebooks and most have access to work from their teachers online.  Please only use this pickup time if you have been contacted directly by your teachers stating you need to come in for materials or if you need a Chromebook.

Process for tomorrow for all grade levels:  Please drive through the high school bus loop and a staff member will come to your car.  We will ask for names and grade levels and materials will be brought out to the car. Please do not come to the doors as only essential staff members will have access to the building.

Breakfast/Lunch Process 11:30-12:30:  All four pickup locations will use the same process as described above.  Please remain in your car and a staff member will bring the meals to you.  We will be evaluating the process tomorrow and in an effort to reduce workforce contact time we will likely be reducing our pickup days to an every other day schedule.  If we do this we will be providing two breakfasts and lunches on two of the days to ensure a total of five breakfasts/lunches per week.

Please remember our primary concern is for the health and wellbeing of our students, families, staff, and community.  The academic engagement we are providing is important, however, it is not something that should be another source of anxiety or panic.  Know that essential district staff will continue to be here for our students and will make sure they have all they need.
